Vivo is attending the Boao Forum for Asia. and it showed off its new mixed reality headset, talked about 6G and confirmed that the vivo X200 Ultra will launch in April (though we’re still waiting on the exact date). This launch should also introduce the vivo X200s.
vivo X200 Ultra at the Boao Forum for Asia
The vivo X200 Ultra was already honored with the title of “Official Smartphone of Boao Forum for Asia”. The phone will “integrate vivo’s latest advancements in imaging”, but the company didn’t go into specifics.
Yesterday, vivo’s Product Manager shared a photo of the camera hardware with three modules in total, including a periscope (85mm). Inside will be a 200MP sensor, a custom version of Samsung’s ISOCELL HP9.
The main camera will switch to a 35mm lens – most smartphones use wider lenses for their mains, in the low 20s – and there will be a 14mm ultra-wide. The main will use a 50MP Sony sensor, the 1/1.28” LYT-818.
vivo hasn’t confirmed this, but the X200 Ultra is expected to use the Snapdragon 8 Elite instead of a Dimensity 9400 (or 9400+). We also heard a rumor that vivo is collaborating with Fujifilm in addition to Zeiss to develop the camera on the Ultra.

We should get more details on the vivo X200 Ultra and X200s launch soon. Unfortunately, both devices are likely to be exclusive to China.
