Max now offers Extra Member to your plan, but it will cost you

HBO’s streaming platform Max is now enforcing a crackdown on password sharing. You can choose to add an “Extra Member” to your subscription for an extra $7.99 per month. This option is available exclusively for family members who live outside the same household; those living together are currently exempt from this fee.

Max now offers Extra Member to your plan, but for a hefty price

The bundles that Max currently offers in the United States include Basic with Ads for $9.99 per month or $99.99 per year, Standard with Full HD resolution for $16.99 per month or $169.99 per year, and Premium with 4K video and Dolby Atmos audio for $20.99 per month or $209.99 per year.

The Extra Member Add-On feature is only available to subscribers of the three plans mentioned. It is not available to paying customers with a bundle that includes Disney+ and Hulu or for those who have a membership through a third-party service, such as an app store, phone carrier, or internet and TV provider.

HBO Max is now just Max in the US

The additional member must be at least 18 years old and residing in the United States. They will have their own account, password, profile, history, and all the controls available to any user. However, their access to Max will terminate if the original account terminates its subscription.
