HMD launched the Skyline in July of last year, and it’s currently working on that phone’s successor. The unsurprisingly named HMD Skyline 2 will arrive exactly one year after the original, in July of this year.
That is, of course, if an X account with a decent track record of HMD-related leaks is accurate this time around. There are unfortunately no other details about the next Skyline, aside from the fact that the brand will apparently write the “2” in the name in superscript. We’re not doing that.

For what it’s worth, the original Skyline has a 6.55-inch P-OLED screen with 1080×2400 resolution, 144 Hz refresh rate, and 1,000-nit peak brightness, the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC at the helm, 8/12GB of RAM, 128/256GB of expandable storage, a triple rear camera system (108 MP main with OIS, 50 MP telephoto with 2x optical zoom, 13 MP ultrawide), a 50 MP selfie snapper, and a 4,600 mAh battery with support for 33W wired and 15W magnetic wireless charging.
Thus, the Skyline 2 should improve upon these specs, though in what exact ways we don’t know yet. We’ll keep you posted.
