The Xiaomi 15 just launched internationally earlier this month, but we’re already talking about its successor, the Xiaomi 16, which is most likely due to be released in China in October.
This model is now rumored to have a larger screen than its predecessor’s 6.36″ panel. It’s also once again said to boast a periscope telephoto camera, apparently an ultra-thin stacked one.

The screen size growing and the use of an ultra-thin periscope are both in service of making the Xiaomi 16 as thin as possible. Xiaomi seems to have been inspired to join the recent trend of making ever thinner smartphones.
It’s still unclear how much bigger its display’s size will be. Obviously it shouldn’t reach the size of the Xiaomi 15 Pro – 6.73″. So it’s safe to assume it will be between 6.36″ and 6.73″.
As for the periscope, it’s been a very long time coming – both the Xiaomi 15 Pro and the Xiaomi 15 Ultra have one, and next year the ‘vanilla’ model will finally be getting its own.
